Life|ware Controls the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry's Green Home

The Chicago Museum of Science and Industry recently opened a new exhibit. Smart Home: Green + Wired, Powered by ComEd and Warmed by People’s Gas is a 2,500 square-foot home built in the museum’s back yard. It’s a fully-functional, three-story home that aims to show museum visitors how energy efficiency and green building can be combined with and enhanced by the latest in home control technology.

The home is controlled by Life|ware, provided by Life|ware dealer Rick Simpson of 3G Applications in Chicago, who donated his time and resources for the exhibition.

The full story (with slideshow!) is at CEPro, or you can learn more about it at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry’s exhibit page.
